Purchase Of Schincariol Would Kick-Start Brazil Growth For Heineken Or SABMiller

A report in the Sunday Times has suggested that European brewing giants SABMiller and Heineken are both considering bidding for Brazil's second biggest brewer by volumes Primo Schincariol. The paper suggests the privately-owned business has been put up for sale for about US$2bn, although neither SABMiller nor Heineken has chosen to comment on the report.
