Wal-Mart Reportedly Eyeing Poland

What Wal-Mart does internationally is increasingly important because it is not getting a lot of growth out of the US, where same-store sales have not looked too hot of late. Price competition from the likes of Target has firmed up and the traditional low cost big-box model around which Wal-Mart built its business, no longer offers the same growth opportunities domestically. With domestic sales still contributing close to 65% of Wal-Mart's income, and even more when it comes to operating income, what goes on at home is still extremely influential to the company's overall performance.
