Beer Consumption Down More Than 11% In 2010

The Slovakian beer industry continues to face up to a challenging environment after per capita consumption fell by nearly 11.5% to 70 litres in 2010, according to The Slovak Breweries and Malt Makers Association. Declining beer sales are certainly not a new thing here and Slovakia was one of the few Central and Eastern European countries where beer sales were not growing really strongly in the run-up to the global downturn in 2009.
