Kirin Secures Full Control Of Schincariol, But Challenges Remain

Japanese drinks group Kirin has secured full ownership of Brazilian brewer Schincariol, after agreeing to buy the 49.54% of the business it did not already. Kirin secured a controlling stake in August 2011 for BRL3.95bn, and will pay BRL2.35bn for the remaining shares, taking the total purchase price to BRL6.30bn.
