Coca-Cola Hellenic Hit By Weak Demand And Rising Costs

Greece-based soft drink producer Coca-Cola Hellenic (CCH) is still struggling to turn the corner after seeing its results continue to be battered by the ongoing weakness within the European consumer sector. For the nine-months to the end of September the firm registered a 1% Increase in sales, which reached EUR5.33bn. However, net profits fell by 28% to EUR302mn and operating profits fell by 26% to EUR211mn. The firm has the unfortunate distinction of being exposed to some of the Western European markets worst hit by the ongoing eurozone crisis (including Greece, Ireland and Italy) and as such this difficult period
