Nestlé Opens New Dairy Facility As Consumption Ticks Up
November 2011 | Company News AlertSwitzerland-based Nestlé has announced the opening of a new dairy plant in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. The new facility will receive 200,000 litres of milk per day and will initially produce UHT milk under the firm's Ninho and Molico brands, as well as soy-milk under its Sollys brand. In 2012 the facility will be installed with production lines to also produce the Nescau chocolate milk brand and for producing Nestlé Fast, a ready-to-drink category of milk drinks sold under the sub-brands Aplino, Neston, Nescau and Molico. The investment reflects the growing appetite for dairy products in Brazil.
