Cherkizovo Expanding Pork Production

Russia's leading meat producing and processing company Cherkizovo is expanding its pork business after launching three new farms having invested around US$130mn. Coming off a low base, Cherkizovo's pork unit is increasingly important strategically and continues to grow strongly. Like meat processing, the pork industry remains extremely fragmented and as the fourth largest producer Cherkizovo has a way to catch up to the industry leaders.
