SABMiller To Pump US$260mn Into Fast Growing African Business

Africa continued to be a strong grower for SABMiller in volume terms in the first half period to September 2011. On the back of ongoing growth in commercial beer volumes as people get richer and SABMiller pumps more money into capacity, distribution and marketing, it has announced plans to invest a further US$260mn into some of its fastest growing markets, including Tanzania and Uganda. These are two of the fastest growing beer markets in the region, if not the world when you consider how much room for growth there still is and their large populations.
