Summer Months 'Safe' For Bird Flu
April 2006 | Industry NewsBird flu has been a growing concern for many countries in the Middle East, as the virus has been reported in the region for some months now. Even in countries such as Lebanon, where the virus has not been found, the poultry industry has been hard-hit, as consumers have cut back their consumption, causing crisis in the industry. In Bahrain, government officials have been trying to assuage people's fears, and have issued a statement saying that the summer months will be a dormant period for the bird flu virus, thanks to the gulf region's scorching
