Israeli Food Exports Predicted To Soar
May 2006 | Industry NewsAccording to the Israel Export Institute, the value of Israeli food exports is predicted to rise by 60% over the next five years, reaching US$1bn in 2010 compared to an export volume of US$650mn for 2005. This anticipated rise is attributed to increased marketing by large food companies, major investments in new technologies and penetration of new markets worldwide. Companies are also working to identify niche markets such as health foods, organic foods and gourmet ingredients. One example of the new marketing campaign is the planned 'Israeli Food Week,' which will be launched in ShopRite stores in the US and
