Carlsberg Invests Further Into Serbian Beer
June 2006 | Company News AlertCarlsberg Serbia has invested EUR10mn in its brewery in the country to increase its production capacity and enable development to launch new products in the country, according to company reports. Carlsberg bought Pivara Celarevo, which was the country's third-largest brewery at the time, in 2003. The company name was then changed to Carlsberg Serbia in November of 2005. Carlsberg has a 99.9% stake in the brewery that produces Lav beer, Serbia's second most popular brand, and Tuborg Green. Celarevo or Carlsberg brewery is often described as one of the most successful companies in Serbia and is the country's second-largest brewer.
