Something Sour In Lebanon's Dairy Industry

Liban Lait, Lebanon's largest dairy firm, can now be included in the long list of victims of the Israeli bombing campaign against Hezbollah troops in Lebanon. The dairy factory was completely destroyed by aerial attacks on July 17 when a barrage of precision-guided missiles hit the production plant. The dairy used to distribute its products all over the country and employed about 400 local staff, providing a source of livelihood for around 1,500 Bekaa valley residents.
