Spirit Sales Fall Below Wine for the First Time
September 2006 | Industry NewsThe US$1.29bn agreement US wine and spirits major Constellation Brands finally secured in April 2006 to acquire Canadian wine giant Vincor International, after months of often hostile takeover negotiations, now looks like an even better deal, in view of new figures showing wine sales growing faster than either beer or spirit sales. BMI sees significant long-term growth potential for Vincor.
