European Brewers Post Strong Results In Emerging Europe

Belgian brewing and drinks giant InBev has posted particularly robust third quarter (Q306) results. Year-on-year (y-o-y), the company managed a 11% increase in sales, a 7% rise in like-for-like sales, and earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 19% to 34.1%. All of this is particularly impressive given a drop in overall sales in Western Europe and North America and a generally difficult competitive situation in Europe.
