Carrefour And MAF Unveil Jordan Outlet

The Middle East retail joint venture of French major Carrefour and UAE-based regional conglomerate Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) has opened its first hypermarket outlet in Jordan, as part of its plans for region-wide expansion. The 10,200m² outlet in Jordan's largest shopping centre, the Amman City Mall, and is in keeping with MAF Retail LLC's strategy of securing prime locations in its secondary markets to ensure high customer numbers without the need for early investment in multiple stores.
