Tesco Triggers New Price War
January 2007 | Industry NewsTesco has announced that it is permanently cutting the prices of some 600 products, thereby triggering a price war in the UK's mass grocery retail (MGR) sector. This is a part of Tesco's strategy once again to make price the determining factor in consumer choice. In recent years other factors, such as quality, health and the environment, have also become major determining factors in consumer purchasing.
