Reconstruction Of Dairy Factory Underway
January 2007 | Company News AlertReconstruction work has begun on the Liban Lait dairy factory, after it was completely destroyed by the Israeli bombing campaign against Hizbullah troops in Lebanon last July. The plant has an annual capacity of some 20mn litres, and produces fresh and UHT milk, as well as a wide range of cheeses and yoghurt. The Lebanese government has provided US$10mn worth of funds for the re-building of the plant, while a further US$5mn came from an Arab investment fund.
