Wal-Mart Quick To Respond To Signs Of An Economic Up-Tick
February 2007 | Company Finance AlertRetailers in Argentina have been having a difficult time of it lately, being all but obliged to maintain or cut prices under what the government calls bi-lateral 'agreements' between the private and public sectors. The first of these, back in December 2005, involved cutting prices on 250 items by at least 15%. In 2006, the government extended the number of items to over 1,000, via what were termed 'temporary arrangements'.
