Friesland Re-Tools In Central Europe

Dutch dairy producer Friesland Foods has announced plans to consolidate production in Hungary and pull out of Slovakia as the company tries to make its operations in Central Europe more efficient and the Slovak market continues to lose its lustre. The company will concentrate fresh dairy production in the city of Debrecen and invest some EUR10mn (US$13.3mn) in expanding capacity and modernising the plant.
