San Miguel Brewery Hong Kong, in which Philippines-based food and brewing giant San Miguel Corp holds a 65.8% stake, has posted mixed 2006 financial results. Restructuring costs in southern China have had a negative impact on profitability in that operating region, while the primary market of Hong Kong continues to suffer from intense price competition, a growing preference for economy beers and increased consumer interest in alternative alcoholic drink
