March 2007 | Company News AlertHaving offloaded its under-performing bottled water operations in Spain and Portugal in early 2006, it was expected that Nestlé Waters - the bottled water subsidiary of Swiss food and beverage giant Nestlé - would turn its attention away from the mature markets of Western Europe, in search of better opportunities in emerging markets. However, with emerging markets not yet providing a large enough audience for producers of premium products to rely on them, Nestlé Waters has been forced to continue to seek growth in developed countries. So where better to start than in two of the world's leading bottled water
