Croatia's Agrokor Group Acquisition Hungry
April 2007 | Company News AlertCroatian retail Konzum, subsidiary of Zagreb-based Agrokor Group has been busy making a series of acquisitions in the Bosnian retail market. Most recently, Kozum acquired the Citluk-based retailer Malisic in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Maslic operated a chain of seven outlets that added up to an area of 2,000m2, as well as a wholesale centre of 3,800m2. This follows an earlier acquisition of the chain VF Komerc, which made the company the largest food retailer in Bosnia and Herzegovina, putting it in a favourable position to take advantage of what BMI believes will prove to be a strong-growth market.
