Anglo-South Africa brewer SABMiller, the world's second-largest beer company in the world by volume, has been expanding its Central and Eastern European (CEE) operations of late, while also looking for possible acquisition targets in the region. As performance in North America, the group's largest market overall, has continued to frustrate due to rising raw material costs and a price war with rival Anheuser-Busch, SABMiller has been looking to the CEE region, and increasingly, into less saturated markets, for growth.
