The feud between French food major Danone and Chinese beverage manufacturer Wahaha shows no signs of abating, as Danone's pursuit of a lawsuit against Wahaha is followed up by the threat of similar action from the Chinese firm. With the two companies' joint ventures now seemingly irreparably soured, and with the war of words between the firms having taken a turn for the personal, the presence of multinationals in China's fast-growing food industry has once again been plunged into the spotlight.
