Madeta And Jih Sign Dairy Deal
January 2008 | Industry NewsFollowing a series of negotiations, Czech dairy co-operative Jih and the country's largest dairy producer Madeta have reached an agreement on the continued supply of milk. In late 2007 the co-operative warned that it would stop supplies to Madeta in April, choosing to sell its raw milk instead across the border in Germany, where prices are higher. The Jih cooperative has now decided that it will continue to supply milk to Madeta for at least one year, with the price set at CZK10.30 (US$0.57).
