Al Safi-Danone Launches Local Operations

French-Saudi joint venture Al Safi-Danone has launched its operations in Jordan, as it looks to expand its regional presence. Al Safi-Danone was established in 1998 as a joint venture between French dairy giant Groupe Danone and Al Safi, which was then the world's largest integrated dairy farm in terms of capacity. The company's growth strategy has been to expand its scope in terms of its markets and product range, with Jordan its most recent target country. Given Jordan's current macroeconomic outlook and susceptibility to new, Western products, this is an ideal market for Al Safi-Danone to pursue its expansions in.
