Grupo Nacional de Chocolates Announces Rise In Profits

Colombia's largest processed food producer Grupo Nacional de Chocolates has announced net profits of COP244.3bn (US$129mn) for 2007 - a 16% increase on 2006. The firm has expanded rapidly over the past two years, investing in new plants and buying up a variety of food firms in neighbouring Andean countries.
