Maple Leaf Restructuring Program Hits Profits
February 2008 | Company Finance AlertCanada-based meat and bakery group Maple Leaf Foods has seen restructuring costs hit its fourth-quarter earnings, posting a net loss of CAD22.1mn (US$21.9mn) for the period. However, for the whole of 2007 earnings from continuing operations were up by 15.6%, reaching CAD199.1mn (US$196.5mn) suggesting that the firm's restructuring strategy may be paying
