Al Islami Foods Looks To Fast-food As New Route To Global Growth

UAE-based halal food manufacturer Al Islami Foods has unveiled a new distribution channel for its ever-expanding product portfolio, an Al Farooj Fresh-branded healthy halal fast-food chain. The company will open nine Al Farooj outlets in the UAE in 2008, before looking to expand regionally and ultimately globally. Domestically the company will be looking to leverage its strong reputation as a halal producer, as well as spiralling demand for the fast-food concept, while internationally the company will be looking to exploit strong demand for halal food products in line with a growing global Muslim
