Police Raid Olive Oil Producers
March 2008 | Industry NewsA police campaign in Italy to clamp down on olive oil erroneously labelled as 'Made in Italy' is, in BMI's opinion, likely to be politically motivated. Up until two months ago Italian olive oil producers were free to label olive oil as 'Made in Italy', even when the olives were not grown there, as long as the oil was blended in the country.
