Cadbury Schweppes Confirms Major Investment
March 2008 | Company News AlertFollowing months of speculation, UK confectionery giant Cadbury Schweppes has confirmed that it has reached an agreement with the Polish government and will invest EUR250mn (US$382mn) in its production facilities in the country. The majority of this investment will go towards the construction of the new Skarbimierz plant, while a portion will also go to the expansion of the Wroclaw factory. Although it was said that two thirds of the investment will go towards the new production facility, the company did not give details regarding planned production at the new plant. Poland had been in competition with other regional markets
