Lidl Announces Location of First Store
March 2008 | Company News AlertGerman discounter Lidl has finally announced the location of its first store in Bulgaria, two years after announcing its initial plans to enter the market. Lidl's first discount store will likely be located in the southern town of Pazardjik, although the company has not yet formally secured the rights to the 1.3 ha plot of land. The Schwarz-owned company plans to build a 1500m² outlet with 85 parking spaces, and has also offered to gentrify the immediate vicinity of the store as its own expense.
