Ontario Winery Pays Price For Expanding Too Quickly
March 2008 | Company News AlertCanadian wine co-operative Niagara Vinters Incorporated (NVI) has gone into receivership after struggling with mounting debts and poor sales. The firm, which produces the 20 Bees wine brand, started to struggle after expanding too quickly without establishing a strong customer base. The receiver, Deloitte & Touche, has now put all of the firm's assets up for sale, which includes the wine making facility, 3.6mn litres of bulk wine and 21,000 cases of bottled wine.
