Carrefour Moves Away From Discount Model
March 2008 | Company News AlertAccording to reports in the Greek press, retail giant Carrefour is planning to invest EUR50mn over the next five years revamping its chain of Dia Hellas discount stores. The firm is reportedly planning a significant programme of store renovation and plans to rebrand all of its small and medium sized Dia Hellas discount stores with a new Dia Market banner. This new format, which has already been trialled in Athens, moves the stores upmarket, with a greater range of fresh products and improved store ambience.
