Nakumatt Announced Investment Plans
March 2008 | Company News AlertKenyan retailer Nakumatt has announced plans to invest over US$5mn in establishing its Tanzanian store network in 2008. This money will be used as a start-up package for the construction of four outlets in Dar es Salaam, Moshi and Arusha, while additional funds will be invested in the stocking of these outlets. Last year Nakumatt, which is Kenya's leading mass grocery retail (MGR) operator, announced its plans to expand its store network both domestically and in other regional markets including Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania.
