Fornetti Makes Macedonian Foray

Hungarian bakery firm Fornetti Groupe has announced that it will be investing further in its Macedonian production facilities. The company has said that it will invest EUR1mn (US$1.57mn) through its Macedonian branch to build a distribution centre and cooling facility for frozen bakery goods in the capital Skopje after purchasing the 20,040m² plot of land for EUR200,000 (US$314,771). According to local press reports, this is the first step in a broader expansion strategy which includes plans to establish a production facility in line with EU standards, as the company plans to launch full production in the country within two years.
