Heineken Announces Location of New Brewery

Dutch brewer Heineken has announced the site of its new South Africa brewery, which will be located in the Sedibeng district south of Johannesburg. The new brewery is estimated to cost ZAR3bn (US$375mn) and will have an initial capacity of 3mn hl, with a built-in flexibility to expand. This will be a joint development by Heineken who will own 75%, and Diageo, who will hold the remaining 25% stake.
