SunOpta Completes Acquisition Of Tradin

Canada-based SunOpta, which specialises in natural and organic food, has announced it has completed the acquisition of Dutch firm Tradin Organic Agriculture, one of Europe's largest suppliers of basic organic commodities. The move marks SunOpta out as one of the largest suppliers of organic products in the world, one of the fastest growing segments in the food industry. However, the acquisition comes at the same time as SunOpta is facing several class action law suits over its alleged failure to inform investors of accounting irregularities.
