Olam International, the Singaporean agricultural products supplier which operates across 17 different commodity groups, has announced ambitious plans to boost the size and diversity of its business. An impending SGD307mn (US$222mn) preferential share sale could net Olam as much as SGD1.6bn (US$1.16bn), which would go towards acquiring new compatible businesses and moving into six or seven new commodity
