Campari Sets Out Growth Plans
March 2008 | Company News AlertAfter posting strong results for the 2007 financial year, Italian beverage group Campari has revealed that it is focusing on growing in emerging markets, particularly in Eastern Europe and South America. The firm, which has interests in spirits, wine and soft drinks, posted a 6.9% increase in its 2007 net profit thanks to a 2.7% increase in net sales and higher margins. The firm will now be looking to build on this growth in 2008 and has revealed it has up to EUR600mn (US$945mn) to fund strategic takeovers, with the acquisition of additional spirits brands taking precedence.
