CBD Reports Strong Same-Store Sales Growth
May 2008 | Company Finance AlertBrazil's largest retailer CBD, popularly known as Pao De Acucar, has posted a big jump in sales and earnings for the first quarter of 2008. The firm's sales jumped by 20.2% to reach BRL4.2bn (US$2.5bn), while the firm's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization climbed by 28% to reach BRL301mn (US$178mn). Even more importantly the firm reported an 8.5% increase in same-store sales.
