M. Dias Branco Increases Earnings Despite Cost Pressures

Dias Branco, has posted a small increase in earnings for the first quarter of 2008 on the back of rising revenues. The firm's net revenues for the quarter increased by 17% compared to the same period in 2007 to reach BRL358.2mn (US$). This big jump in revenues helped push up the firm's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation - a popular measure of cash flow - by 3.5% to reach BRL71.9mn.
