Government Moves To Stockpile Food

In another effort to curb food price inflation, the Bahraini government has announced that it will create a national stockpile of food. The government has said that a national importing company will be established to secure sufficient stocks of basic foods as this small, import-dependant island nation continues to battle with rising international food prices.
