Agrokor Set To Receive Fresh Funding

Croatia's leading food manufacturer, Agrokor, is set to receive more funding from IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, as a part of a broader initiative to develop the country's food processing sector. IFC will provide a EUR40mn (US$63.2mn) loan to PIK Vrbovec and Belje, two Agrokor subsidiaries involved in the company's core business areas of meat processing and farming. This latest investment will supplement a previous EUR40mn loan given to these two subsidiaries in July 2006 and will be used towards doubling production capacity at PIK Vrbovec and to further develop farm productivity at Belje.
