KBB Looks Upstream In Search Of Cost Reduction
June 2008 | Company News AlertMalaysian noodle and vermicelli manufacturer KBB Resources Bhd has prioritised vertical integration as it seeks greater control over its raw ingredient inputs. With 2007 financial results negatively affected by a 30% increase in operational costs, the first quarter of 2008 has highlighted more of the same for KBB. Q108 pre-tax profit declined by 40% year-on-year (y-o-y) to MYR1.8mn (US$0.55mn), while revenue increased by 30% y-o-y to MYR39mn (US$12mn).
