Baltika Targets Hungary And Romania For Growth
June 2008 | Company News AlertRussian brewer Baltika, part of the Danish brewer Carlsberg's Baltic Beverages Holding, has launched beer exports to Romania and Hungary and hopes to sell 150,000 litres of Baltika beer in these two countries by the end of the year. Citing both countries' improving economies, growing consumption levels and a rising demand for premiums beers, Baltika said that it sees great potential for both Romania and Hungary. This is just the latest move by Baltika as looks to increase its presence in regional markets to avoid being overly reliant on Russian beer sales.
