InBev Seals Takeover Of Anheuser-Busch
July 2008 | Company News AlertBelgian brewer InBev has agreed to acquire US brewer Anheuser-Busch (A-B) in a deal worth US$50bn. The agreement, which follows a drawn out and acrimonious takeover battle, will create the world's biggest brewing firm and shake up the US beer sector. However, since rumours of a bid first emerged in April, InBev's share price has been steadily declining (see graph), which suggests that some investors feel that the price paid is too high or that the mature US market does not offer substantial enough
