Hamé Sales Rise Driven By Export Growth

August 2008 | Company News Alert

Czech food company Hamé has announced its first half sales have risen 12% year-on-year (y-o-y) to reach CZK2.55bn (US$166.4mn). Much of this growth was led by the company's foreign subsidiaries, with Romanian sales growing by 25%, sales in Russia growing by 29% and Ukrainian sales increasing by almost one third, while sales in the domestic market grew by a comparatively modest 6%. Meanwhile, exports to countries where Hamé does not have a subsidiary shot up 80% y-o-y, indicating that the company will increasingly rely on foreign markets to achieve future growth.
