Leading Drinks Producer Reports Strong Results
August 2008 | Company News AlertTunisia's Société Frigorifique et Brasserie de Tunis (SFBT), the country's largest brewer and soft drinks producer, has reported a 7% rise in net income for the first half of the year, thanks to increased turnover. Net profit rose from TND30.2mn in the first half of last year, to TND34.3mn (US$29mn), while turnover was up from TND75.5mn to TND79mn (US$65.96mn), and operating profit rose 10% to TND16.1mn (US$13.4mn). These impressive growth figures are a reflection of the country's rapidly expanding food and drink sector, which is expected to continue to experience strong growth.
