Profits Up But Sales Stagnant At Metro and Loblaw
August 2008 | Company Finance AlertCanadian retailers Metro and Loblaw have reported weak sales but rising profits in their most recent financial periods. Montreal-based Metro reported a 3.7% increase in profits in the three months to July 5, but this came on the back of an increase in revenues of less than 1%.
